In the murky waters of Delta North politics, a dangerous conspiracy is unfolding. The powers that be — Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, influential figures like Elumelus’, and former Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa — have allegedly aligned to unseat the man who has become the undeniable face of the Anioma State creation movement: Senator Prince Ned Nwoko.

This is not mere political rivalry. It is a calculated effort to silence the loudest, most consistent voice pushing for Anioma’s long-overdue self-determination.

While few vulnerable Aniomas’ , out of ignorance, short-term gains, or old PDP loyalty, are cheering this conspiracy on.

They fail to see the bigger picture: Ned Nwoko’s removal is not about performance — it is about who gets to claim the glory for Anioma State.

The Real Fear: Anioma State and Ned’s Accolades

For decades, Anioma people have agitated for their own state. Senator Nwoko did not invent the dream, but he has elevated it to national prominence.

He sponsored the bill, secured massive signatures in the Senate, mobilized stakeholders, attracted federal attention, and made Anioma State a live issue during constitutional review.

His approach is bold: Anioma as the sixth state in the South East — correcting historical imbalances, giving Anioma people better representation, equity in federal allocations, and a stronger Igbo identity within a united Nigeria. This vision threatens the status quo in Delta State.

– Okowa publicly clashes with Nwoko, insisting Anioma must remain in the South South to protect Asaba’s status.

– The Delta State Government machinery and allies like Elumelu appear uncomfortable with a senator who operates independently and attracts national acclaim for a cause that could reshape the state’s political map.

They cannot allow Nwoko to return to the Senate and potentially deliver Anioma State. Why? Because the accolades would go to him — the “one-man show” (as critics call it) who actually walked the talk. The conspiracy is simple: kill the messenger, bury the momentum, and later repackage the project under more “controllable” hands.

The Primary as a Case Study in Manipulation

The disputed APC Delta North senatorial primary exposed this desperation. Official results gave Okowa a landslide, but Nwoko’s camp presented compelling evidence of massive grassroots support, video recordings of crowds, and allegations of pre-written results, late-night maneuvering, and inducements.

Many wards reportedly saw overwhelming turnout for Nwoko once his participation became clear. Yet in key areas, strange figures emerged — including claims of just 3 votes for the incumbent in his strongholds.

This smells of a coordinated efforts by the Delta State power structure to impose a preferred candidate. The involvement of state machinery in an opposition party’s primary raises serious red flags about federalism and internal democracy.

Why Ignorant Supporters Miss the Point

Some Deltans, especially those tied to the old PDP order or benefiting from current patronage, argue that Nwoko is “arrogant,” “a one-man show,” or “not consultative.” They cheer what the assumed political “burial ” but sensible ones now seeing factual results of the primary election and they are silenced.

Some are yet to understand (or refuse to see) that:

– Anioma State is bigger than any individual or godfather.

– Nwoko’s philanthropy, sports university initiatives, federal projects, and malaria eradication efforts have touched lives directly.

– Allowing the Delta cabal to dictate who represents Delta North sets a dangerous precedent: only “approved” politicians who won’t rock the boat on state creation can thrive.

This is why true Anioma patriots must reject the conspiracy. Supporting Ned Nwoko is not hero-worship — it is strategic. He has the national connections, the legislative experience, the visibility, and the courage to see the Anioma project through.

A Call to Anioma Consciousness

To the people of Delta North: Do not be deceived by short-term money, endorsements, or ethnic maneuvering.

The forces against Nwoko fear what he represents — a liberated, empowered Anioma with its own destiny. They prefer a compliant senator who will keep Anioma fragmented under Delta’s control.

Ned Nwoko may have his flaws like any politician, but on the defining issue of this Anioma generation — Anioma State — he has shown unmatched commitment. Do not allow narrow political interests to rob your children of a brighter future.

The game is clear: unseat the man, claim the project later. Anioma people must see through this and respond with wisdom in 2027. The creation of Anioma state should not be sacrificed on the altar of Delta power politics.

Anioma must rise. Ned Nwoko must be allowed to finish what he started.
