Empowering Communities: A Focus on Agriculture and Food Security
A cornerstone of the initiative was an empowerment program benefiting 2,000 constituents, following a similar outreach earlier in 2025 that supported another 2,000 individuals. The program distributed essential agricultural inputs, including tractors, irrigation equipment, and farm tools, to smallholder farmers. These resources aim to bolster the rural economy and enhance agricultural productivity. Additionally, food items were provided to mitigate the impact of rising food prices, reinforcing food security in the region.
Enhancing Mobility and Healthcare Access
The empowerment initiative also addressed mobility and healthcare challenges through the distribution of tricycles, motorcycles, and ambulances. These “mobile solutions,” as described by Hon. Ali, are designed to improve economic connectivity, facilitate access to emergency healthcare, and enhance overall mobility within the constituency. The donation of ambulances to various communities underscores Hon. Ali’s commitment to ensuring equitable access to critical services, transcending political, religious, and ethnic divides.
Transforming Education and Infrastructure
Education received significant attention, with the construction of 30 schools across the constituency. These new facilities are set to enhance access to quality education for local children, equipping them with knowledge and creating job opportunities for teachers. Additionally, infrastructure development included approximately 40 solar-powered boreholes and streetlights installed across 60 villages and clinics, improving access to clean water and enhancing safety. Approximately 20 kilometers of roads were also completed, including the 7-kilometer Bangu-Talasse Road, the 4-kilometer Kulo-Kwasi Road, and the Cham Township road network, spanning about 5 kilometers. These projects aim to improve connectivity and stimulate economic activity.

Honoring Traditional Leadership
In a gesture of respect for local leadership, Hon. Ali donated four Lexus GX470 vehicles to the four first-class chiefs in the constituency, recognizing their roles in fostering peace, unity, and development. This follows his earlier gesture in December 2024, when he honored former representatives with similar vehicles.
A Collaborative Vision for Progress
The commissioning event, attended by traditional rulers such as the Bala Waja, Mai Tangle, and Mai Kaltungo, as well as dignitaries like Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo and the Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Luggerewo, underscored the collaborative spirit driving these initiatives. Speaker Abbas praised the projects as a testament to the legislature’s commitment to grassroots development, noting their role in addressing critical community needs.
Hon. Ali reaffirmed his inclusive approach, stating, “The selection of beneficiaries transcended political, religious, and ethnic lines, reflecting my role as a representative of all constituents.” He also announced plans for a new phase of empowerment targeting an additional 2,000 constituents with mini tractors, irrigation equipment, farm tools, herbicides, fertilizers, vehicles, and motorcycles.
A Legacy of Service
The projects commissioned on May 20, 2025, build on Hon. Ali’s ongoing efforts to transform Balanga/Billiri. Earlier initiatives included classroom blocks, solar-powered boreholes, and training programs for over 600 women, youths, and men in dry-season farming and digital content creation. His work has also facilitated over 100 federal job placements for constituents, further cementing his legacy of impactful representation.
As Gombe State looks to the future, the collaboration between Hon. Ali Isa JC and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas signals a continued commitment to sustainable development, empowering communities, and improving the quality of life for all constituents.
